Do I need an iPad Air to use Hoopfit?

Yes. You currently need an iPad Air (5th generation or newer) to operate Hoopfit. They easily pair and connect over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

iPad Air is not provided as part of your purchase.

Can Hoopfit be used outdoors?

Yes, Hoopfit is designed to be safe for outdoor use. Use it in your backyard or take it to the park.

However, it is not waterproof and should be stored indoors when not in use.

How long does the battery last?

The battery lasts for up to 1 hour. You can also use Hoopfit while plugged in to a power outlet (power adapter provided).

Is a monthly subscription required?

Our Free subscription tier provides many basic functionalities. However, to maximize your workouts and training sessions we recommend one of our paid tiers. Look at our pricing page for details.

Does it rotate in different directions?

Yes. It can rotate side to side up to 180 degrees so it can pass the ball anywhere on the court.

Does it work with men's and women's basketballs?

Hoopfit works with size 7 (29.5" diameter) and size 6 (28.5" diameter) basketballs. Those are the official size basketballs for men, women, and youth (age 12+).

Does it work on all basketball hoops?

Hoopfit works with most existing basketball hoops as long as they are firm and stable. That includes almost all in-ground hoops and any portable hoop which has a weighted base to provide stability.
